Butch Harmon named top golf teacher in America
Congratulations to Mega Golf Coach Butch Harmon for being honored as Golf Digest’s #1 Rated Golf Teacher in America for 2003-2004. The magazine’s September 2003 issue highlighted America’s 50 Greatest Teachers as selected by 1,000 golf pros surveyed across the country. It was the 3rd year in a row that Harmon won the award.
Butch has been featured in Jack Victor photo shoots and advertising, and conducts golf clinics for the company at his state-of-the-art Las Vegas teaching facility. He has taught and continues to teach some of the most accomplished pro golfers in the world including Tiger Woods, Justin Leonard and Fred Couples, to name only a few. The Harmon family is an American golfing dynasty: Butch’s father Claude won the 1948 Masters as a teaching pro – a legendary accomplishment probably never to be repeated. Butch’s three brothers are also distinguished golf teachers. And his son Claude III currently works on the European tour, coaching numerous top players including the 2003 World Golf Championships World Cup champion Trevor Immelman.
